Mann+Hummel awarded Supplier of the Year for a 24th time

For the 24th time, German component and technology provider Mann+Hummel has been named a supplier of the year to General Motors during the carmaker’s 27th annual ‘Supplier of the Year’ awards ceremony in Detroit.
Steve Kiefer, GM senior vice president, global purchasing and supply chain said customer loyalty is important to the success of a business… but so is a good relationship with suppliers.
“This is an opportunity for General Motors to honor those suppliers who are truly the best of the best,” he said. “The automotive industry is transforming at an incredible rate. The relationships we have with our supply base means everything when it comes to delivering a strong vehicle lineup today and the cutting-edge vehicles and mobility services of tomorrow.”
GM annually evaluates performance criteria and recognizes suppliers that deliver innovations, quality products and service and a timely delivery to enable a smooth production line and earn loyal customers. More than half of the suppliers recently awarded were repeat winners from 2017.
Mann+Hummel’s president and general manager for OE products, Kurk Wilks, said employees at Mann+Hummel can be proud of their contribution to the consistent recognition from GM for their quality products.
“General Motors is a very important longstanding customer for Mann+Hummel. We believe in their direction and remain deeply committed to aligning to their business priorities,” said Wilks. “To be recognised for our 24th Supplier of the Year is an honour and demonstrates the deep commitment each of us at Mann+Hummel have towards our longstanding partnership.”
